Ben-Hur
by Lew Wallace
Judas Ben-Hur lived in Jerusalem in the early 1st century as a wealthy Jewish prince and merchant. His old friend Messala arrives as commander of the Roman legions. They become ruthless enemies. Due to an accident, Ben-Hur is sent to the mines as a slave, and his family is sent to the leprosy caves. When Messala dies of being crushed in a car race, he reveals the whereabouts of Ben-Gur's family. On his way to find them, Ben-Hur meets Christ on his way to Calvary to be crucified. This day changes Ben-Hur's life forever, because on this day there is a believer.
