Beyond the Vanishing Point
by Ray Cummings
When George Randolph first saw Orena, he was amazed at her brilliant perfection. There were hills and valleys, lakes and streams, which glowed with the light of the most precious metals. And more surprisingly, it was a miniature world of perfection – an infinitely small universe in a golden atom! But for Randolph, it was also a world of danger. He had friends to save somewhere in their small expanse. The captives of a madman were reduced to the natural dimension of orena; To return to Earth, they needed the growth pods that Randolph had brought them. Randolph had to find them — and quickly — the longer they remained small, the closer they were to going beyond the point of extinction!
