Biggles in the Cruise of the Condor

by W. E. Johns

Biggles and Olgi visit the elder Dikpa, but find the British home in an armed siege by a gang allied with Silas Blattner, who is determined to give them the location of Inca treasures in Ecuador. Fleeing home, Biggles returns in a plane to rescue his friends and they embark on an expedition to South America to find the treasure. When they arrive in Brazil, they use a flying boat they call Condor to fly over the rainforest and land in rivers, and go to the place where the treasure is located. Following a larger flying boat carrying Blattner's people, our heroes find a treasure cave, but find it empty before they finally come across a lost city full of treasures and the corpses of its long-dead residents. When they return to Condor, a volcanic eruption that prevents them from taking all but a small treasure, they take off only to counter Blattner's plane from trying to shoot them down.
