Biggles Learns to Fly
by W. E. Johns
This is the story of the very beginning - air service and Biggles. It's World War I and Biggles is only 17 years old. Planes are primitive; there are no combat tactics; the only form of communication for pilots and gunners is manual signals. They are confident in the skills, creativity and, above all, courage of the crew members. In a hostile enemy sky where instinct and quick reaction are everything, Biggles must learn to be a real fighter pilot or die. But does it have what it needs?
