Biggles of the Camel Squadron
by W. E. Johns
A new squadron member joins the Biggles Squadron. He is Henry Watkins and believes that the laws of mathematics have solutions for most weather problems. First, it discusses the "deflection" shot, that is, shooting in front of a moving object where the rocket and the object should collide. Henry, along with Biggs and Olgie, goes to raid Airport 32 and soon disappears completely in the extensive low cloud cover. Biggles and Algi raid alone and force two albatrosses to collide as they try to take off. Algi finished off another Albatross that managed to take off. Meanwhile, Henry confronts a German Hanover plane and manages to shoot him down, luckier than being judged. Descending through the cloud and finding himself above the airport, Henry bombs him and then manages to return to his own airport. The subsequent arrival of Major Sharpe of the 287th Fleet, wanting to know which fool bombed the airport, has troubling consequences for Henry.
