Here, Pa works on the new railroad until she finds the perfect mansion for her new tiny home. Laura makes her first train trip when her sisters and mother go out to live with Pa on the shores of Silver Lake. After a lonely winter at the inspectors' house, Pa puts up the first building on the beautiful shores of Silver Lake that will soon become a brand new city. The trips of the Ingalls' covered wagons were finally over.
