When he woke up suddenly, he came to open the door, spotted and without light. As I requested, I told her to buy flint and steel, which she did, warning me in a modest voice that she wasn't dressed. "It has no effect," I said, "provided you are covert." He didn't speak anymore and soon lit a candle, but when he saw me dripping wet, he couldn't help but laugh.
