Darkness at Pemberley
by T. H. White
It was described by T.H. White as a study on claustrophobia and fear. Police Inspector Buller has been called in to investigate two mysterious deaths at Cambridge College. The investigator can solve the mystery, but he can't find enough evidence to convict a clever killer. The Killer and Buller reunite during Pemberley's suburban retreat when an attempt is made on the life of Inspector Buller's master, Charles Darcy. The climax of the story comes when it is discovered that the killer is hiding in a network of large chimneys - and his hostess has bleaked with him.
