Doctor Dolittle and the Green Canary
by Hugh Lofting
The magical story of Pippinella, a green canary told by Doctor Pip himself. Although most of the material was initially printed for the Herald Tribune Syndicate in 1924, Lofting planned to complete the story in book form, but it was never finished until his death. Olga Mikhail, the sister of Lofting's wife, completed the book and it was published posthumously in 1950. Everything is roof, except for the first and last part. Much of the material in this book is repeated from the earlier novel Dr. Doolittle's Caravan and tells the story of Dr. Pippinella's girlfriend, Green Canary, a little deeper.
