Fear Stalks the Village
by Ethel Lina White
It was an exemplary English village full of flowers, Tudor cottages and cobblestone streets. Joan Brooke loved working there as a friend of Lady d'Arcy, who lived in a large mansion with the surrounding park. And while the village was small, it wasn't too small for Joan to find a man there she could love. Suddenly, the most sacred citizen of the city picks up a poisonous leaf, while the peaceful surface of life there collapses. Others follow; no one is exempt from an anonymous letter writer. And letters bring death. In the days that follow, Joan is aware of her own danger. Because receiving these letters could mean the end of your love and your life!
