Fire-Tongue

by Sax Rohmer

"The Language of Fire" is a mysterious thriller film attributed to Harry Houdini, a friend of the British writer Sachs Romer. Romer conceived of the challenge as a trap set by his most famous work, the evil Doctor Fu Manchu. The prolific writer created an excellent crime with no idea how to solve it, and he himself worked on the case with his fictional detective Paul Harley. In "The Language of Fire," Harley sees a man die at the dinner table. (Is there anything in the soup?) The detective's "incredible sixth sense" tells him that it was a murder. But he can't prove it, let alone catch the killer. The problem was like Romer. And the story had already begun to work as a magazine series As Romer told him, the magician and fugitive artist stumbled desperately when Houdini appeared at his door. Houdini slid it around - what else is there? - secret exit. The story continues with all the clues, exotic suspects, sneaky gowns, disguises, chases and decisions that Romer fans have been waiting for in their fantastic plot and still find.
