Forlorn River

by Zane Grey

Ben Ide is a failure in the horse trade because he loves horses more than money. A few bad deals set the world against him. His biggest rival is his father, who doesn't see Ben well for anything. Determined to show what he is made of and what he is capable of, Ben goes after the wild horse herd. The herd leads him directly to danger: animal thieves with connections in high places. Distrusting the woman he loves, threatened by murderers and provoked by slanders, Ben finds the Day of Reckoning on the banks of the Forlorn River. What he will do next will make him an outcast or a hero. The Forlorn River sets events and characters in motion that stretch across Nevada.
