Glinda of Oz
by L. Frank Baum
Peace, prosperity, and happiness are the rule in the wonderful Land of Oz, but in the far corner of this magical space are two tribes — the Flat Heads and the Skiers — who have declared war on each other. Determined to stop his subjects from fighting, Oz's ruler, Princess Ozma, along with his dearest friend Princess Dorothy Gale (formerly Kansas), embarks on a quest to restore peace. When the Flat-Headed Supreme Dictator refuses to cooperate with Ozma, he and Dorothy search for Queen Ku-e-o skiers, hoping she will be smarter. However, the queen imprisons Ozma and Dorothy in her big city and then detains them, putting the entire city under water. Now it's up to Glinda Good to save the day. Ozma gathers all of her advisors, including her beloved friends such as the scarecrow, Tin Woodman, Coward Lion, Patchwork Girl, Shaggy Man, Tik-Tok, and The Wizard of Oz, and they decide to save their friends. Will the magical powers of Glinda and the Wizard combine to be enough to free Ozma and Dorothy?
