Hans Frost
by Hugh Walpole
Orphaned teenager Natalie Frost travels to London to stay with her mother's sister, Aunt Ruth, and her famous husband Ruth, the famous popular novelist Hans Frost. Hans Frost's 70th birthday celebration arrives on the evening and Aunt Ruth ties Natalie to her bedroom to get her out of the way. Hans himself is a side character of the house, because, despite his critical admires, his books do not generate so much income, and his wife's wealth provides the luxury he has enjoyed since their marriage. Hans and Natalie meet that night and are immediately taken away with each other, much like Ruth's great jealous horror. Natalie's entry into her world is the catalyst Hans needs to wake her up from falling; His next move shocks the literary and social world. Meanwhile, Natalie learns love from a Russian immigrant; Her life changes beyond recognition because of her close relationship with her uncle and the impact they have on each other's lives.
