Jerry Junior
by Jean Webster
Despite the beauty of Valedolmo, which surrounds his Italy, Germin Hilliard Jr. is getting bored. He has nothing to do, no one to talk to except the head waiter of his hotel, nothing to read in English except a four-day newspaper. It will take days for the rest of his family to join him to continue his grand tours. He saw everything that could be seen in Valedolmo. Other Americans nearby are father and daughter Wilders, and Constance Wilder is of no use to Jerry. When Jerry learns that his compatriots are planning a mountaineering trip, he decides to use Constance's love for Italians in authentic peasant clothing to alleviate his boredom and eventually attract his attention.
