Knock-Out
by Sapper
Ronald Standish, a charming, casual detective who occasionally hijacks his fantasy when they catch it, receives a frantic phone call from a friend who works for the Secret Service asking for help. But when the line suddenly freezes, Standish rushes to his friend's house in Hempstead and finds him dead in fear, still with a receiver in his hand and a terrible wound in his eyes. When Standish reunites with Drummond the bulldog, the convoluted political network surrounding this murder and the terrible risks of prosecuting criminals meet head to head.
