Lazarus and his Beloved
by Kahlil Gibran
The garden outside Lazarus' and his mother's and sisters' home in Bethany was in Mandeus' afternoon, the day after Jesus was resurrected from the tomb from Nazareth. When the curtain is raised: Mary on the right looks towards the hills. Martha sits at the door of the house, next to her counter on the left. The madman is sitting in the corner of the house, on the wall to his left.
