Love Among the Chickens
by P. G. Wodehouse
For the first time in many years, Jeremy Garnett, seeing his friend Stanley Pearstonhow Ukridge, is dragged to rest at the new Ukridge poultry farm in Dorset. Ridiculous situations abound when Garnet laboriously courts a girl who lives nearby and struggles on the farm to make matters worse by Ukridge's bizarre business ideas and methods. It was Waterhouse's first novel to be published in the United States, and it was the only novel in which Stanley Perstonehau's recurring character Ukridge appeared.
