Mansfield Park

by Jane Austen

The poor teenage girl Fanny, Thomas and Lady Bertram were protected by her uncle and aunt (along with her four children, Tom, Edmund, Maria and Julia), at their home in Mansfield Park. He treats other children less desirable, supported by Edmund, whose kindness makes him fall in love with her. The involvement of brothers Henry and Mary Crowd further complicates the lives of young people. While Edmund takes a liking to Mary despite disapproving of her behavior, Henry begins to attract love to Mary and Julia. The novel deals with these characters and other complex plots, which keeps the reader completely satisfied with the developing plots and subplots. Will Fanny finally find her love, will she play any part in Henry's love for Edmund, or will Edmund understand Fanny's love and bring her back?
