Miss Billy
by Eleanor H. Porter
Mr. Neilson was determined to name his first child Kat, William Henshaw after childhood. When the baby disappointed her for being a girl, she was relieved by the name Billy had given her. Mrs. Billy, now 18, an orphan and completely alone in the world, accepts her lawyer's offer to ask her namesake to take her. Just a small problem – Mr. Henshaw was unaware of his existence and then mistakenly thinks Billy is a child! His life and the lives of his two brothers were pleasantly turned upside down.
