No Hero
by E. W. Hornung
No heroes... A woman from her past... A mysterious, sealed letter... A mountain with a deadly reputation... What unites them? And will they verify or refute the claim that a person is not a hero? The scene is laid out in Switzerland against the backdrop of spicy hotel gossip, with the story set in the words of a friend of the boy's mother, who takes on the task of letting the boy down. The result is as unusual as it is unexpected. "It's a story that's smart, fresh, well-told, with more than the usual measure of art in storytelling."
