Pirates of Venus
by Edgar Rice Burroughs
The glowing, cloud-covered planet Venus hides an incredible secret: the strikingly beautiful yet deadly world of Amtor. In Amtor, the cities of immortal beings develop on giant trees that reach thousands of meters into the sky; wild animals follow the wilderness below; rare flashes of sunlight lead to destructive storms; and its inhabitants believe that their world is in the form of a circle with a fiery center and ice edge. Astronaut Carson Napier, who is attached to Empor after his spaceship crashes, is dragged into a world where revolution has matured, princess love carries a precious price, and death can easily come from the ray of a futuristic weapon as well as the blade of a sword.
