Pygmalion
by George Bernard Shaw
This game is based on the legend of the Greek Pygmalion. It tells the story of professor of phonetics Henry Higgins (based on phonetic Henry Sweet), relying on the fact that, together with his friend Colonel Pickering, he could successfully publish Eliza Doolittle, the flower girl of Cockney, as an elegant lady of society, teach her to speak with a first-class accent, and teach her etiquette. In the process, Higgins and Doolittle grow closer, but they reject their path to power and announce that they will marry young, poor, gentleman Freddie Ainsford-Hill. It was adapted for a film called "My Fair Lady".
