Queen of the Black Coast

The Queen of the Black Coast is one of the original stories about Cimmerian Conan, written by American author Robert E. Howard and first published in Weird Tales magazine. The action takes place during the so-called historical Hyborian period and is about Conan becoming a famous pirate and robbing the coastal villages of Cush along with Belit, a powerful femme fatale from the start. Because of its epic scope and atypical romance, the story is considered an undisputed classic of Conan knowledge, and is often cited by Howard scholars as one of his most famous tales.
