Riders of the Purple Sage
by Zane Grey
"Riders of the Purple Sage" is a classic of the Western genre. For a long time in Utah, there was animosity between Gentiles and Mormons that Jane Witherstin, the daughter of a prominent Mormon leader, chose to ignore. When old Tull learns that the woman with whom he is going to make one of his wives offers hospitality to a stranger, he vows revenge. But Tull underestimates Jane's courage and the determination of the riders of the beautiful and dangerous plains of the old west.
