Shadows on the Zambula is one of Robert E. Howard's original short stories about Cimmerian Conan. The story takes place overnight in Zambula, through political intrigues among streets filled with stray cannibals. It depicts the character of Baal-pteor, one of the few in stories about Conan, who becomes a physical challenge for the most important Cimmerian character.
