"Skeleton People of Jupiter" was conceived as the first of a series of short stories to be collected in later book form, in the style of Lyan of Gatol, ending with an unsolved plot and the so-called sequels never written. Several other writers wrote past endings for the story. This story is the second part of John Carter's Mars collection.
