Tarzan and the Jewels of Opar
by Edgar Rice Burroughs
It's the fifth exciting adventure in Tarzan's stories. In the forgotten city of Opar, there were altars where the ancient city offered blood sacrifices for the God of Flame. There were also vaults filled with high gold designed for the legendary Lost Atlantis. And there, the beautiful high priestess La was still dreaming of Tarzan, who had previously avoided his knife. Around him, the priests swore that he would never run away again. For now, Tarzan was returning and they were waiting for him. Tarzan planned to avoid La and the priests. But he couldn't avoid the earthquake that struck him in vaults and left him without remembering his wife or home — just with the memory he had as a child among the wild monkeys that bred him.
