The Adventures of Tom Sawyer
by Mark Twain
Here is the story of Tom, Huck, Becky and Aunt Polly; adventure, mischief, gauki playing and summer fun story. Written by the author and sometimes referred to as the "Lincoln of Literature", "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" surprisingly had neither critical nor financial success when they were first published in 1876. It was Mark Twain's first novel. Since then, however, Tom Sawyer has become his most popular work, enjoying his dramatic, film, and even Broadway musical interpretations.
