Mr. Parnham is in a dilemma. Bussie Woodcock invited him to join the Sians, and Mr. Parnham is a bit eager to protect his acquaintances – after all, the great financier may just be his ticket to fame and fortune. But to Sians? Damn all those medium-sized businesses stupid nonsense! Just as he leaves Sir Bussy forever, Mr. Parnham has one last change of heart and ultimately decides to go together. So it does - with some very interesting results.
