In the "Demigods", a group of former heroes in the form of winged angels appear in the camp of the wandering McCanns (Patsy, her daughter Mary and their murdered donkeys) one night. Together, a small group wanders through rural Ireland: telling stories, making jokes, and stumbling upon some familiar but often unwanted faces.
