Asti's last nun, Varta, lives alone in asti's isolated mountain retreat with Lur, a lizard's telepath. The collapsing Mamfir had already moved away from the harsh roads of Asti, and now Clem's barbarians are stirring through the city, and its burning smoke is dragged all the way to the temple.
