The Gracie Allen Murder Case

Zani's plot follows the nitweet of Gracie Allen, who tries to help master Philo Vance solve the murder. Uncle Allen catches him at a company picnic with Bill. When they go to a nightclub that night, Gracie mistakenly associates Bill with the murder of a thug after finding a dead body and Bill's cigarette holster at the crime scene. During interrogation at the club, he meets Vance, who is investigating the murder. After Gracie's unsuccessful attempts to resolve the case, Vance decides it may be easier to get him to work. Despite Gracie's "help", they eventually find the real killer.
