Philip Marlowe travels to Hollywood, explores the underworld of the glittering capital, trying to find the lost brother of a cute young thing; a gangster man is a movie star and several brothers who have a secret in common. His name is Orfamay Quest and he came from Manhattan, Kansas, to find his missing brother Orrin. Or at least that's what PI Philip Marlowe is saying, offering him an insufficient $20 for a privilege.
