The Long Winter

The town of De Smet in the Dakota region is hit by terrible blizzards during the harsh winter of 1880-81, and the Ingalls family must ration their food and coal. When the supply train does not arrive, all materials are cut from the outside. Soon there is almost no food left, so young Almanso Wilder and a friend have to make a dangerous journey in search of supplies.
