The Lust of Hate

In this third of Bootby's Dr. Nicola novels, Nicola exerts her almost hypnotic persuasions to convince an Unlucky Australian, previously named Gilbert Pennetorn from England, to unwittingly help Nicola with an evil plan. Nicola enjoys Pennetorn's fiery desire to take revenge on a former boss who steals information about the location of a field of gold in Australia that would make Pennetorn extremely rich. Using this knowledge, the boss became rich after living a high life in London, while Pennetorn was left penniless. Nicola finds a plan and a device for Pennetorn to commit the perfect murder of a rich thief. Unconsciously, Pennetor thus becomes a member of one of Nikola's insidious plans.
