The Marriage of Esther
by Guy Boothby
Two men, a fight and a series of disaster situations. All Nations Hotel Bar, Thursday Island. It is a hot evening towards the end of 9.35 a.m. There are about twenty men in the room at different stages of undressing; An atmosphere similar to Sheol's stove doors; two tatterdemalia, among others, lying at the end of a long counter; the babylons of sounds, the thunder of surfing, first of all on the beach outside.
