The Mask of Fu Manchu
by Sax Rohmer
The famous archaeologist Lionel Barton, who discovered the tomb of El Mokanna, a covered prophet, and unearthed the valuable remains buried there, blows up the tomb. The faithful Mokanni heretical sect interprets the fireball as the second coming of its prophet, and a violent rebellion begins. Meanwhile, the cunning Dr. Fu-Manchu feels he can use the powerful relics for his own evil purposes. The action stretches from Iran to Cairo, then to London, including an extraordinary confrontation inside the Great Pyramid. Along the way, their opponents encounter Ogboni killers, mind-controlling drugs, dervishes, and a "ghost mosque."
