The Nameless City
by H. P. Lovecraft
Often considered the first history of Cthulhu Mifos, considered the arts of love, the Nameless City is an ancient ruin located somewhere in the deserts of the Arabian Peninsula and older than any human civilization. In ancient times, the city was built and inhabited by a nameless reptile breed with a torso in the form of a crocodile and a seal with a strange head that is not common to any of them, including a protruding forehead, horns, nose and a crocodile-like jaw. These creatures moved, crawled; therefore, the architecture of the city has very low ceilings, and some places are too low for a person to stand upright. Their city was originally on the coast, but when the seas receded, it remained deep in the desert. This led to the decline and eventually the ruin of the city.
