The Old Curiosity Shop

"Old Curiosity Shop" is the story of Little Nell, a beautiful and virtuous young girl who lives in the curiosity shop with her grandfather. His only friend is Keith, an honest young boy who works in a store and teaches him to write. Unbeknownst to Nell, her grandfather is obsessed with his precarious finances and tries to make Nell a good legacy by winning in the cards. He keeps tonightly events a secret, but borrows heavily from the evil Quilp. Losing everything, Grandpa and Nell are forced to flee.
