The Orange Fairy Book

by Andrew Lang

This volume contains stories of the indigenous people of Rhodesia, who were collected by the native-speaking Mr. Fairbridge and brought by Mr. Calyps from another part of Africa, Uganda. Three tales from Punjab were collected and translated by Major Campbell. Various wild stories that need significant editing come from the examined pages of the Journal of the Institute of Anthropology. With these exceptions and the "Magic Book" translated by Ms. Pedersen from Mr. Ewald Tan Christensen's "Eventyr fra Jylland" ("Stories from Jutland"), all the tales were made by Ms. Lang, from various sources, where desired, who changed all the stories.
