by Emma Orczy
The question "Who is this man, this Red Stipine?" became increasingly meaningful to the rulers of the French Revolution. Only this man and his group of followers threatened their total power. Others said he was an English lord who was looking for solid adventure and higher sport and playing the most dangerous game. But there was only one thing that those who were looking for him could be sure of. They knew very well the symbol of its existence, the blood-red flower known as the Red Acne.
