The Secret Island
by Enid Blyton
Peggy Arnold and younger twin brothers, Mike and Nora, live with a strict aunt and uncle whose parents are believed to have died in a plane crash. With the help of the orphan boy Jack, whom they befriended, they escape to an island in a nearby lake, and together they build a new house built from willow tree branches, this beloved "living house" is one of the most important points in history. However, living independently proves to be much more difficult than they think, and besides a lot of fun and happiness, they also have many challenges, especially when winter arrives.
