The Tale of Timmy Tiptoes
by Beatrix Potter
Timmy Tiptoes and his wife Goody are two squirrels that collect nuts for the winter and hide them in hollow trees. Suspected of stealing the nuts of another squirrel, Timmy is beaten and imprisoned in the hole of a woodpecker. There, he meets Chippi Khaki, a little striped squirrel who takes care of him with kindness and eats nuts, who is too fat to squeeze through the hole until one night a big wind blows from the top of a tree and releases Timmy. The book is illustrated with beautiful Potter watercolors.
