Tom Swift Among the Diamond Makers

by Victor Appleton

While young Tom Swift is in a jewelry store buying a ring for Mary, he meets a man who claims to be ready to teach Tom how to make diamonds. Later, a man (who turns out to be one of the partisans Tom Swift and his wireless message book) tells Tom his story — how a group of men who know how to make diamonds approach him, how he actually watches diamond productions and gives them some money, and how he is thrown away (but not before, how he is given a fortune in diamonds). The man urges Tom to go with him to hunt down these diamond bearers. (source: TomSwift Info)
