Twelfth Night
by William Shakespeare
Set in a turbulent world like a festive celebration, this comedy unfolds with a romantic conspiracy around divorced twins, inappropriate passions and a false identity. Side by side with him, it is the satirical story of a priest who dreams of becoming the Count of Malvolio deceiving himself only to ensure that the carousel he wants to suppress will come into his hands. The two plots merge to create a comedy in which melancholy moves, mixed with seductiously beautiful discoveries about themes of love and time, and the play ends not with laughter, but with a sad clown song.
